Tip of the Week: Use Google Lens with Anything in Google Chrome

If you’ve ever used Google Lens on a mobile device, you know it’s a pretty impressive little tool for contextual searches. However, you can also use these capabilities in the Chrome browser., searching for anything visible in the browser—from text to images, even one captured from a video.

Let’s go over how.

How to Use Google Lens in Chrome

Fortunately, Google has made it very easy to pull up the Lens feature:

  1. Access the Chrome menu via the triple-dot icon.
  2. Select Search with Google Lens.
  3. Your cursor will then adjust to reflect what kind of search you are performing.
  4. Click and drag so the boundaries contain the subject of your search.

You’ll then be given a sidebar of results, where you can also further refine your search in that sidebar’s integrated search bar.

That’s pretty much it! Hopefully, this will help you get more out of Google Chrome.
