Tip of the Week: Getting Around the G Suite

Depending on what your preferences are for a productivity suite, you might find that the conventional options are slightly less optimal for your needs. Google’s G-Suite solution for businesses can offer your organization a great way to access common applications for a multitude of purposes.

What Are You Looking For?
Your business will have specific priorities to consider when selecting software. For example, you need to secure your business’ data while giving your staff the ability to access and use it. You’ll need reliable tools to make sure that your day-to-day responsibilities can be maintained, all while making sure that management and control can be guaranteed. In essence, you’ll want a tool that can be depended on. Google offers these tools, providing managers with ways to keep a business productive and in control of their applications. These tools also provide collaboration that is something to be desired.

Being the Boss Has Its Perks
If you’re the one in charge of your organization, you’ll naturally have more privileges over data and how it’s managed. G-Suite provides security and control through a centralized admin portal that you can use to make setup and management as easy as can be. There are even permissions you can leverage to make certain tools accessible to groups of people, and charts to see how often your applications are used. You even have control over user access and other security methods, including two-factor authentication.

Jam Out with Jamboard
A relatively new Google product, Jamboard is built to be used for team collaboration. You can think of it like a collaborative whiteboard app. Under the Google Apps menu in G-Suite, look for the Jamboard App. You can then use a stylus or mouse to write down ideas with your team. At the moment, content can only be added to Jamboard through the mobile app, but teams can easily view and comment on projects on a computer.

Don’t Forget A.I. Integration
Google has taken to integrating their “Smart Compose” technology with their proprietary applications, including G-Suite. Basically, you can compose an email with the option to receive suggestions for how to complete the sentence. It learns in the process, making it an effective way to shorten certain processes at the click of a button.
